HI... I'm Lauren! I'm a North Carolina based Interior designer that specializes in large scale home renovations, new build projects, luxury vacation properties as well as a focus in kitchen and bath design. I first fell in love with Interior design 17 years ago in my first design studio class, my freshman year at Appalachian State University. I have been out on my own for three years with over 10 years experience in the field. I have a background in Interior Architecture and have a deep reverence (& love) for what I do.
"Lauren is an amazing designer who makes the renovation process a lot less stressful (and fun). We so appreciated her attentiveness and keen eye as well as her attention to detail that made our kitchen just a beautiful space to be in. We love cooking and entertaining in here, now."
"The first thing I told Lauren when she came over to see my living space, is that I wanted the space to feel healing and calm. She has a way of using materials that just creates so much depth. As much as I love my living room, I love even more my outdoor space which feels just like an extension of that. So grateful for her and her talent to give life to a space."
"Lauren opened our eyes to possibility with our project. I really admired her passion for craftsmanship and ensuring the implementation portion was not only done... but it was done right. She really values quality and we just really love our home, and can't imagine it any other way."
This renovation project began July of 2022. This home was built in the early 1920's and is located in downtown Albemarle, NC. The home's previous condition was unlivable. The kitchen floors were water damaged and the original plaster walls were cracked from floor to ceiling. My client bought the home because it still had good bones, and wanted to put a pretty significant amount into it, to get it back where it deserved to be. I feel so honored to have been a part of this project. The upgrades were mainly cosmetic with a few key decisions, but I honed in on the rooms & decisions that would make 10x the impact. I have a special kind of love for old historic homes, especially ones that have creaky floors and all the character you could ever ask for, in one project.
